30) Plant a terrarium
Maye it is just me, but it seems as if terrariums are hot at the moment. To be honest, I’ve never considered myself a trendsetter, nor a trend follower, so I’m not really sure why this appeals to me. I’d rather have a full-sized garden than a mini garden. And in fact, I do have a garden.
So why plant a terrarium?
Most importantly because they look cool. Really, really cool.
Less importantly, because they don’t take up too much room. While I have a pretty spacious living situation at the moment, both indoors and outdoors, I realize that it isn’t permanent. Without thinking too hard I can think of a dozen situations that would result in me leaving this apartment. Maybe the next place would be as posh as this one, but it might also be a quarter of the size and 10 stories off the ground. No matter where I’m living, I will be able to find enough space for a cute little terrarium. And if I do find myself in much more typical urban living situation – no garden, smaller space, etc – it will be really nice to have my own private little self-contained garden.
